Montgomery County Airpark (GAI) is a public, general use airport located approximately 3 miles NE of Gaithersburg, MD and approximately 20 miles NW of downtown Washington, DC.

SFRA (Formerly the Washington, DC ADIZ)

GAI is located on the edge of the Washington SFRA, so familiarity with the correct procedures is REQUIRED. Navigating within the SFRA isn’t tough, and it’s something one of our many instructors can help you learn (after you read the NOTAMs of course).
