We hope you will join us on Saturday, September 15 from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. for the MCAA's annual airport picnic and open house. As always, free food and beverages will be provided by the MCAA with the help and support of the GAI flying clubs and the local Rotary Club. This year, there will be several fun and hopefully interesting activities in store, including thrill rides in a classic 1942 Waco open-cockpit biplane owned and operated by John Corradi of Blue Ridge Biplane Rides. Last year we had the TSS Hudson River Caravan. This year we'll be heading to a Bed-and-Breakfast/Hunting Lodge/Skydiving School/All-around interesting place called Freefall Oz. Using good old-fashion pilotage we'll navigate without aid of ADF, VOR, and GPS to this grass strip located on the border of PA/NY. If you're interested in joining us, contact us at info@tss.org.

TSS has upgraded all of our Garmin GNS-430s to the Garmin GNS-430w -- the new WAAS-certified moving map GPS from Garmin. The GNS-430W is available in N405JH, N7605V, N52126, and N711DA. If you'd like to read more about WAAS, try the WAAS Wikipedia entry.
